MDDN 241: Textures

Here are the textures I ended up using for the marble and wooden desk. All other textures were made in maya.

Lower quality version of my poster.

MDDN 241: Final video

My final animation video

All sound effects are from freesound.org

MDDN 241: Rendering Done!

Finished my rendering earlier today, now I just need to work on editing the scenes together and adding sound effects.

Here are some of my rendered images

MDDN 241: Animation Process

A couple of screenshots of my animation process.
The hopping animations definitely took a lot longer than I thought they would, and I had a few issues with my rig doing random back flips (shown in videos) because of how I did the parenting, which I had to go back and fix.

MDDN 241: Rigging Finally Sorted!

My rigging is finally complete! After messing around with parenting I've finally managed to get it working!

Here are some screenshots of the rigging process:

MDDN 241: Rigging Problems

I'm so close to finishing my rigging! Just problem left.... The eye. If I connect the eye to the head it just spazzes everywhere, so I have to attach it in a different way, which apparently means it can't go up or down...

Here's a video showing my problem.

MDDN 241: Environment Update

A few screen caps of what I've modelled for my environment, including a Stapler, Pencil, Pin, Power point and charger.

I still need to work on the glue stick and marble, and the desk top (which should be pretty simple as it's just a flat plane).

MDDN 241: Rigging

I have rigged the top part of my model, but I am still having some trouble attaching the head of my character to the springy part of his body.

video of his body moving, but not his head.

MDDN 241: Compositing vs. Modeling

One of the suggestions I was given at the presentation of project 2 was to consider using real world footage in my final animation rather than modeling everything in my scene.

I have decided against using real world footage as it would be too hard to get my animated character to interact with it's surroundings (such as some of the objects he plays with on the desk) if I was compositing, and it would look strange if I did a combination of the two.
